Our Clergy
Andrew and Richard
Revd Andrew Staley, Team Vicar
Originally from Rhode Island, USA, I came to Tisbury in 2008 as Team Vicar to the Nadder Valley Benefice. In addition to Tisbury Parish Church, I also have responsibility for the adjacent smaller parishes of Hindon and Chicklade with Pertwood; Fonthill Gifford; and Fonthill Bishop with Berwick St Leonard.
I am married to Donelle and we have a son who lives in the USA with his wife and two daughters. Donelle and I keep reasonably fit walking two lively Labrador dogs, but I also enjoy roller-blading.
Within my ministry to the church I have a special interest in personal counselling and healing.
Revd Richard Wren, Assistant Priest
After a long career flying with the Royal Navy I was accepted for training to the priesthood at Sarum Theological College. I served as a non-stipendiary priest in Tisbury between 1990 and 2001, followed by four years as Vicar of Tisbury. I retired officially in 2005 but still continue to take some services and along with my wife Heather, play an active part in the church community. I am responsible for training our team of Lay Pastoral Assistants.
I’ve also been persuaded to record some of my short talks and you can click here to listen.
